The Story Behind Our Fabrics: Handloom Craft and Natural Textiles from India
Share
Long before TB Project existed, the first idea of it came on a trip to Rajasthan. Watching block printing and traditional handicrafts come alive in front of us was mesmerizing — the way skilled hands turned simple threads and dyes into something full of life.
Living in global financial hubs like Singapore, even surrounded by creative people, it’s easy to lose sight of how things are made and feel disconnected from the process. There’s something grounding about seeing materials transform into objects you can touch and wear — a sense of realness that inspired our brand. Seeing that firsthand was truly inspirational.
At TB Project, we focus on natural, sustainable fabrics grown straight from the soil. Our sourcing process is more than logistics — it’s a way to connect you to the materials and the artisans behind every piece.
When TB Project was born, we explored countless options and samples, but ultimately returned to our original inspiration: India. We work with small suppliers across the country — the cotton in our pyjamas comes from South India, renowned for its lightweight and breathable fabrics. We are also experimenting with other handloom fabrics, textiles woven entirely by hand on traditional looms, where each piece carries unique variations and reflects the care and skill of the artisans.
